If you are an author or publisher, please sign  the title(s) with a brief positive or motivational message. New and gently used titles of all genres including resource books are being gathered for shipment to various state and federal prisons. Others are being used to stock the youth resource center which is in it's planning stage. Various seminars, classes, and meet and greet sessions will be provided. These programs are most practical in the county and sometimes juvenile systems where the opportunity to provide community services to the incarcerated population are welcome. The key is to provide resources and options. This is a passion so much so that obtaining non-profit status is a critical objective to launching this initiative on a grander scale while incorporating educational resources to help inmates follow their dreams. This is the true meaning of rehabilitation. Last and certainly not least we strive to serve as an intervention program for both our urban and suburban youth! This will include but is not limited to those who have already been introduced to the correctional system. The youth will obtain hands on experience in the literacy and surrounding fields through courses and mentoring programs faciliatated by those in the business. The goal is to allow the youth from this and outside organizations to come together on an ongoing project aimed at providing a scholarship fund for those interested in pursuing their field of interest.

Envy Red will also be conducting interviews with those who know firsthand the effects of incarceration and life's circumstances on the minds of our youth. In order to get to the root of the issue and make positives strides toward a brighter future, we must first free the mind!

Envy Red's Literary Lounge will be the premier spot for all of your literary resource needs. Come in and enjoy our products and services including but not limited to:

Stocked shelves & database of available ebooks, reference section, computers, eReaders, workshops, employment and business resources, signings, cafe, and last but not least an open mic! Come out and promote. Let us know about your business or give us a peak into your talent with a taste of your art anytime during business hours. Feel free to reserve our spot for an after hour event or showcase.

This business model will not only be available as a for profit organization but will be replicated in our forthcoming plans for resource centers in homeless shelters in various cities as a result of the effort of my non-profit organization Homebound Citizens Non-Profit.  In addition, it will be replicated as an addition to the youth and prison outreach program "Free Minds Project." In this capacity the lounge will serve as a resource center to assist individuals in transforming their lives and gaining the resources necessary to live their dreams.
